Ok everyone, with VMK closing and all I thought I might inform you about some other online games that are SIMILAR to VMK.

First, is Pizzle Pirates

I breifly played it and I think that real cash is involved somhow. It's a pirate-themed game that is focused around gambling based mini-games.
With cash, houses can be bought and rooms can be made.

Stars: *** and 1/2 out of 5.

Second, is GaiaOnline

Ok, this one is really made for Anime fans but it DOES have elements that VMK had. It's mostly a 2D graphic system. You DO actually get to buy your own houses and stuff. I believe it has some decent minigames but since I've logged on a total of 1 times I can't say.

Stars: ****

Goonzu

A friend of mine metioined that he played the game, however, I can't find the URL for the North American version of the site. I'll post more on that if or when I find out more...

Habbo

Well, if we wanted to make another VWDW we should do it here. It's a pretty neat game, with ALOT of elements from VMK in it. If your into the game's style, this is definatly somthing to check out. EDIT: Unfortunatly, you need to BUY coins with real cash...

Stars: ***

Nicktropolis

This is basically a Paramount/Nick version of VMK. The game is more 2D than VMK and the mini games were sotra boring. Then again, this is just a quick glance.

Stars: ***

Pirates Of the Caribbean Online

Well, I personall don't care for it. It's a good game, sorta like VMK except the fighting part. The graphics looks good, voices (as far as I can tell) are genuine, and the clothing system is pretty good. I really like the sailing part, but like most other games it gets boring if you don't have many friends.

Stars: ***

Smallworlds

Personally, I LOVE this game. Thanks to Friend for posting it! You get to make your own little virtual person, design your rooms, and even have your own puppy! You can play cusom music (I think), change the coloring of your "place", you can even play YouTube videos on these little TVs! I higly suggest checking out this game because in my opinion, it ownes VFK. Unfortunatly, since there's no dictonary people will and are abusing it...

Stars: **** 1/2

Build-a-Bear Ville:

What's there to say about it? Boring. Designed for youger children, not really the ideal replacement for VMK. I suppose kids'll enjoy it... but not me. I guess it's still worth a try.

Stars: **

Millsberry:

Remember that game that you always see ads for on Post cereals? Well I tried it... it's text based. There is no walking engine, and appears to be no chat system. How can they call this an online game?? It's boring as all heck. I suppose this is less of a review and more of a warning.

Stars: *

Avatar Legends of the Arena:

Based on Nick's # 1 series, you create your own bender (choose from Air, Earth, Water, and Fire) and just duke it out with other players in the arena. Not much to the game, but then again it IS free. Pay for what you get, right? The main way of leveling is playing through about 50 training missions until your ready to handle the higher level players (I recomment being at least level 7 before entering the arena.) When you select to play online it pits you against three players from around the world. If you haven't seen Avatar: The Last Airbender yet then I'd hold off on playing this game.

Stars: *** 1/2

VFK:

A home for the homeless VMKers (at least that's what they thought.) A total rip off of VMK (it's the idea!) probably made by the same people who made VMK itself. What's the problem? It's not addictive. It has alot of the stuff VMK had - room customizing, different worlds for exploration, magic pins... some more magic pins, but not that same magical feel that VMK had. The only thing I feel playing this game is remorse for VMK's closure. The avatars don't make you wanna hug them, and the walk... is better left unmentioned. Overall, not really that good, but people are making it their new pad. Make your own coice on this one.

Stars: ** 1/2

Lively

Along with Smallworlds, this game probably opened as part of the "VMK Closing" craze that appears to be hitting the internet. Enter "Lively" a not-really-lively SN MMO sort of similar to Small Worlds. The game itself is pretty solid and suprisingly detailed for a free game (this is Google - they have money.) Unfortunatly, Lively will be shutting it's virtual doors to the gamers December 31st (build up a comminity BEFORE you ruin their lives! brood.gif) Overall, it has potential, but it's current version (STILL IN BETA) is flawed. Don't waste your time getting addicted to it. In fact, there ISN'T time to get addicted to it!

Stars: * 1/2

Fusion Fall

CN's new MMORPG. Not really like VMK, more like WOW and that sort of stuff. The game's pretty cool, intergrating characters from the CN universe into the game (THE EDS!!) It's glitchy at this point, but that's just because it's in beta. The game is currently closed off to the public, but there will be another preview weekend on Dec 27, 2008. The graphics are fantastic, so I'd assume it will be pay-to-play. I think it'd be worth it!

Stars *** 1/2

If you have any other online games that you know of that are similar to VMK please post them.

Toon Town is hardly anything like VMK. It's got a similar turn based fighting, sorry, GAG system that the Final Fantasy series has. I don't like the look or feel that POTCO is presenting but I'll take a look at and review it sometime.

I'm tempted to ask you to review Webkinz tongue.gif I more like the idea of you having to go to Hallmark to buy a little stuffed animal, though!

My friend's sister plays that game. I'll ask her to show it to me next time I see them.

Yea, both my sisters play it already, I really don't need it reviewed. I just thought it would be funny to picture you playing it. It's very girly!
