Title: Kingdom Keepers 3
Jennings - January 9, 2010 09:43 PM (GMT)
I was doing some looking around on Amazon, when I stumbled upon this:

I had almost forgot about Kingdom Keepers! Glad to see it's making another return so quickly, as it's scheduled to hit book store shelves on April 6th, 2010.
Judging from the cover I think it's safe to say this will take place in EPCOT...what I'm more concerned about is if a certain purple dragon will be making an appearance in this book. :figgy:

Ok i just realized my post that i wrote up on Micro. Word about expo never got posted :duh: :duh: :duh: I went and met with RP at his special seminar, there was maybe 20 people there so it was very intimate compared to some of the other presentations. I have a whole bunch of pictures of things in EPCOT that are vital to this book and i dont have any idea where some of them are... If i can find thse stupid pictures expect to see them up here soon.
On a happier note i'm soo freaking excited for this book and the new website! KK has to be my favorite series of all time!

LadyDooley - February 20, 2010 07:30 PM (GMT)
Thanks Doug,
it sounds like they are not taking everyone for Beta testing...
I hope I can help out in some way. :pixiedust:

I think they were mainly just saying that to weed out the younger kids who wouldn't be much help in actually finding bugs and testing the game. I would think they would welcome older players as beta testers. We'll see though.
In a comment, Mr. Pearson stated that he believes the selected testers will be sent a link on Monday in an email. Take that with a grain of salt though.

I'm so excited i saw that on his twitter page and i was like OMG!
I Can't wait to play the game, being chosen as a beta tester would be like a dream come true! What do you guys think it will be like more vmkish or pirates of the caribbean?
LadyDooley - February 21, 2010 06:55 PM (GMT)
lets keep each other informed and let someone know if you get an email in the next day or two :woot:

Good idea! Maybe those who could get chosen would be willing to post some screenshots for those that aren't chosen? That would be quite nice :)

I'd like to see the leveling aspect of Pirates, I think it would be great. Kingdom Keepers is an action/adventure story, so naturally, there should be some sort of dueling or fighting. Making a mock up of vmk would kind of defeat the purpose of it being a Kingdom Keepers game. I almost imagine it as a World of Warcraft type game, only set in the Kingdom Keepers book.

I signed up. I guess I better get the first book out again and give it another shot.
Howze - February 22, 2010 07:35 AM (GMT)
I just signed up. Way to keep an eye out on this you guys! How cool would it be to get the gang back together in a virtual disney type place. I know if I'm chosen I'm gonna earn credits like crazy and try to buy anything and everything that's for sale. Who knows what the next green flops will be, but I'll try to get enough of everything for the team if selected. This will certainly bring new life to these boards if anything else. Your right Skate I better get my dusty books off the shelf.

Agreed. It's not the next Da Vinci Code or anything like that, but I do love the fact that I can picture exactly where the kids are at any point in the story, partly because I've been to WDW so much, and partly because the author describes it well. There are only a few mistakes (in the first book, the kids take a monorail to MGM...:P), but it's still a very entertaining read.

BETA TESTING UPDATE! THANK YOU! Over 1,100 entries in two days for the BETA TESTING group for the new Kingdom Keepers game!! 200 will be selected by Wednesday! You all ROCK. I hope I'm one of the 200 selected! I'm pretty confident Disney will be offering those of us who aren't chosen in this round a sneak peek later in March, BEFORE THE PUBLIC GETS TO PLAY!! So, thanks again for your entries. And keep coming back to the blog for updates. If I get a chance to play, I'll tell you what it's like!

That's really surprising that they are only accepting 200 people. Lets hope at least one of us is a part of that 200! Good Luck everybody!
LadyDooley - February 23, 2010 02:50 AM (GMT)
hmm,
I bet it is random... we'll see..
Jessiestudio - February 23, 2010 02:55 AM (GMT)
Well there are certainly a couple of us who entered so at least some/one of us should get in, right?
I think it is funny how he acted like he wasn't going to get in himself lol, that would be really sad. Good Luck everybody!

I signed up under my email address and also under Steven's email address...
I'm interested to see what sort of game it is...
Jessiestudio - February 24, 2010 03:32 AM (GMT)
Has anybody been updated or gotten an email on the status of beta yet? I know they said wed. but i just wanted to check. I'm so excited to see/hear more about this game!

OTs are interfering... possibly... I have a sneaking suspicion the Overtakers intercepted the 200 emails to the Beta testers... I never got mine! Standby. We are attempting to trap Maleficent. This will be resolved! But it might delay it a day or two. It shows how IMPORTANT it is to eliminate the OTs once and for all... Thanks for your patience.
Keep checking back here and I'll update you. (and keep your heads down!)

Thank you for participating in the closed beta for Kingdom Keepers Online.
Over the next few days we will be sending out instructions for how to access the game. Please keep this information confidential and do not give it out to anyone else.
The game is still in beta, meaning that it is unfinished. Please keep in mind that there are additional features and elements that are not yet implemented and you may experience bugs, performance issues, and other rough edges.
Kingdom Keepers Online explores a new chapter in the adventures of the Kingdom Keepers. The Overtakers have discovered a way to escape from the parks through the virtual maintenance network and are now roaming free across the internet. Left unchecked, they’ll use their control of the internet to wreak havoc on the real world.
This problem is too big for the Keepers to handle by themselves. They’re looking for volunteers to join forces, become Keepers, and fight back against the Overtaker network invasion. This is where you come in.
Wayne has rigged up special DHIs that allow you to project yourself into the network and do battle against the Overtakers and their minions. Every time you win a battle you help beat back the Overtaker infection. If you work together you may be able to clear the entire network before time runs out.
Kingdom Keepers is a fast-paced action/strategy game you play in your browser. When the final game launches there will be a website that communicates an ongoing story that responds to player progress across the network map and reflects the collaborative efforts of the players to fight back against the Overtakers. For the closed beta, we are just testing the core gameplay and the overall game website will not be accessible. We are eager to hear your feedback about gameplay, balance, difficulty, and feature suggestions.
The closed beta will go for two weeks and we are excited to see how much progress players make during that time (we don’t expect you to get anywhere near clearing the whole network). At the end of two weeks we will send out a feedback form to get your input, but during the beta please feel free to post any questions, ideas, or comments in the beta forums.
Thanks for helping test Kingdom Keepers Online, see you on the network!

Doug - February 25, 2010 05:31 AM (GMT)
^I got that email too! That makes two of us!
Anybody else get accepted?
Jessiestudio - February 25, 2010 08:54 AM (GMT)
nope :(
Looks like I'll Just be watching from the sidelines this go around. I hope you guys are allowed to post pictures once they let you in. Have Fun!
Jennings - February 25, 2010 12:43 PM (GMT)
Haven't gotten an e-mail back either, but that's great that two of you got in!
I second with Jessie - I hope you guys can post pics and tell us what the game is like!
LadyDooley - February 25, 2010 06:39 PM (GMT)
nope, no email for me... I am going to check the junk mail just to be sure though
SKKaty - February 25, 2010 11:22 PM (GMT)
I haven't received anything either but will keep checking!
Jessiestudio - February 26, 2010 01:49 AM (GMT)
As long as we got two people in i think thats pretty amazing! Who knows they may open up the game to more of us as time goes by but from the email the game sounds like a play by your self attack game with the only multiplayer aspect being the forums and the overall working together score.
Hopefully i'm wrong and there is alot more together play then that but i guess we'll just have to wait and see. :figgy:
SKKaty - February 26, 2010 02:45 AM (GMT)
I just checked again and the invite is there!
I got in, so that is exciting!
LadyDooley - February 26, 2010 05:44 PM (GMT)

SKKaty - February 26, 2010 11:38 PM (GMT)
