Title: A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas
Description: New Tomorrowland Stage Show

They're inserting a new live stage show in the former home of Stitch's Supersonic Celebration (which I didn't think was that bad). Hopefully this one will last more than....like a month.

"A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas" is heading to the Magic Kingdom this holiday. Starring the cast of the Tomorrowland characters (Mike Wazowski, Buzz Lightyear and Stitch) and dancers, this new dance show features holiday songs with a Tomorrowland twist. This new show that will run for the holiday season will be shown at the Rockettower Plaza Stage (the former home to the very short-lived Stitch's Supersonic Celebration). It should begin by the first Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party on November 10 2009. This would also seem to confirm that the very popular Mickey's 'Twas The Night Before Christmas will not be returning.

A little sad Mickey's Twas the Night, is not returning. I saw that at MVMCP a few years ago and really enjoyed it, thought it was pretty cute. Thoughts?

I agree Mickey's Twas the Night was a good show. Plus I don't care much for Stitch anymore, so anything including him is lame to me. I suppose those characters make more sense there though. They should move Mickey's Twas the Night to the stage infront of the castle (if there is still one there)

can't really say I would be to excited about this if I was going.

sorry

I honestly don't see why they had to remove Mickey's Twas The Night, it wasn't Tomorrowland themed and it was in the Galaxy Palace Theater which we all know is hardly ever used... What interests me is how they're going to approach this show. I wonder if it will use the same "Virtual Puppetry" concept that Turtle Talk and Laugh Floor use. I'm also curious to know if Billy Crystal and Tim Allen will reprise their roles....or if we'll listen to an obvious impersonator :glare:

Show is up on Youtube...

My Review: The performers all do a very good job in their roles, but the basic premise of the show seems very contrived to me. Especially cringe-worthy was the buzz-hunts-zurg version of jingle bells. It probably would have been better if they just left the stage empty.

What does everybody else think?

I watched the first half but I couldn't keep myself entertained enough to want to see the second. I don't think the whole Tomorrowland theme fits all that well for a holiday show. I'd really prefer they kept it a little more traditional and try to fit the theme better. This definitely feels contrived like Doug said, kind of like they just stuck the characters in there just for the sake of the character's popularity and not so much about whether it makes sense or is entertaining... just my 2 cents!

"Remember folks, you can't spell christmas without an eye!"
:glare:

It definetly feels like it was just made for filler, which could potentially be a good thing. Being optimistic here, perhaps this show is just to keep the space filled and buy time for a better show coming after the hectic holiday season.

^Let's hope that's the case!

The Reason Why Micket's Twas The Night Before Christmas is not Returning is because the Galaxy Palace Theatre was torn down. That is what I have heard and seen. I havent seen the show yet I am going in Christmas and Want to be surprised.
