So in Small Worlds there are missions instead of quests, but for the sake of simplifying things i'll just call them quests from here on out. Anyways in order to get guests into a room you have to offer a quest but im stuck on what to do for the Jungle Cruise Quest so I've come up with four options let me know what you think.
Option A : In small worlds i can animate the scenery to have it say stuff every time someone comes within a certain distance of the object or when they say something. My first idea was to have the person doing the quest to be a rider on the Jungle Cruise and they would go through and interact with the fictional "Skipper John L." (Wonder where i got that name...) and that would be the quest
Option B: As i was thinking about this idea i wondered "What would it be like to play skipper for a day" and then i thought "hmmm maybe guests would like to play a quest where they pretended to be skippers in training" so the second option was just to have the guests play a quest where Skipper John L taught them the ropes.
Option C: After i thought about doing the last one i wondered whether that would make the ride less of a ride so then i thought why not make a combination of the two? In Option C the both of the above just go along happening at the same time
Option D: My final thought was to remove the fictional Skipper John L. and just have guests interact with other guests who would be doing a quest where they were just being skippers for a day, no training required.
Well ya so those where the four ideas i came up with. What do you guys think? I would love feedback of any kind please :)
I will do any of them but I like B the best.
ok guys thanks for the comments keep 'em comming
what if i made the skipper quest a special event that only happens every so often while the riding the boat quest with skipper John L is the main quest? What do you guys/gals Think?
