Description: Photos de Paris

Coolimagineer - April 13, 2009 01:06 PM (GMT)
Im guessing that everyone probably is excited for the DLP photos the most, so I decided to post those first and have the Paris ones follow.

Feel free to ask me any questions about any of the sights or attractions.

Enjoy!

(See that door in the back? Behind the pillars? That's the exit which goes right to the entrance of the Disneylan Park!)

Disney Village
(Disney Village is the Dowtown Disney of DLP, It's got some cool stuff, not nearly as big as WDW's, there's also a train station in it with rides directly to Paris)

Disneyland Park:
(No doubt about it...Disneyland Park is by far the best park I've ever gone to. It's got the size and scale of the Magic Kingdom...with the charm of Disneyland California...and to be honest it kicks the crap out of both of them. Practically every ride is done to a grander scale and has more modern touches, even some of the classics like Peter Pan. This is definetly my favorite Disney Park and it only saddens me that I didn't get more time there. Now please, enjoy the sights of Disneyland Paris)

(Since they turned my turnstile on first, I was the 1st guest in the park ^.^)

user posted image
(So, I guess they were shooting promos in the park...and there was a camera guy on a balcony while I was getting on Space Mountain, maybe I'm in a promo, how cool would that be!)

user posted image
(The only reason there are people in town square is because I dropped my wallet going into the park, good thing I noticed it immediatly!)

(Discovery Arcade is actually a long hallway behind all the stores where you can sit down and rest, it's also got some really cool exhibits on America or somethin. This is the place to go if you want to wait out the rain)

(You dont even know how much more amazing this is then the original...)

(Guns are much better, shooting is smoother, and when you hit something it vibrates and starts lighting up)

user posted image

(Stitch is the biggest character there, he has like his own TV show and he's basically bigger than the mouse himself)

(Ok, I've seen both WDW and DLR's POTC...and this one is like both combined with even more awesomeness!)

(The Indy ride is sick! It's like big thunder mountain only jacked up with red bull and it has a loop!)

(Too much epicness for one to comprehend...no inside shots, sorry guys!)

Walt Disney Studios

(This is a little difficult to explain, but the basic "main street" in this park is actually inside this stage building, you walk in an it's all neon, it's basically the same as WDW just in the dark)

user posted image

user posted image

user posted image
(The Partners Statue is actually located in the Studios rather than the Disneyland Park...makes me think someone made a mistake when they designed the Disneyland Park...)

user posted image
(There's a cool little Cars ride there...not really a big deal, it's basically bumper cars except to small for a regular person to fit in.)

(This is Crush's Coaster, it's kinda like primeval whirl, a spinning roller coaster, except this one is also part dark ride, it starts out just like the one at disney world (the nemo dark ride) but once you hit the eac, you know this aint no kiddie ride!)

WICKED! Thanks for posting these and I can't wait for more. That painting of Will Turner is drooltastic! And I'm loving the X-wing fighter!

Weather seems to not be cooperating too much for you on your trip....welcome to Europe in Spring! :P But the parks seem really empty and that's wonderful for you! So awesome to hear the rides are even more advanced and thrilling. You sound like you are having the best time Coolio.

Yeah, it poured the night before, and the weather the day at the parks was basically on and off sprinkling. Oh, lemme tell you why the park was quiet, when it comes to Europeans and their sleep, EMH is not even worth it :P

It didn't really begin to get busy until 10, when the parks opened at 8

LadyDooley - April 13, 2009 09:03 PM (GMT)
Great shots.. Fun new stuff from when I was there

I am sooo glad you rode Space Mountain.. It rocks there!!!

Jessiestudio - April 13, 2009 09:56 PM (GMT)
WOW. That park looks amazing! why is it that Europeans get better stuff then we do lol? Oh and what does EMH stand for?

MadAboutMickey - April 13, 2009 10:04 PM (GMT)

Extra Magic Hours, every day at most disney resorts at least one park either opens earlier or stays open later

Jessiestudio - April 14, 2009 02:53 AM (GMT)
Oic :) there are so many abriviations when it comes to Walt Disney Parks and Resorts its hard to keep track of all of them. I didnt realize that they had EMH in DLRP i thought it was a WDW & DLR. just a quick example lol.

Man, I really want to go to DLP! Seems like Paris and Tokyo really got some amazing parks, and we're getting screwed here in the states!

Coolimagineer - July 24, 2009 08:32 PM (GMT)
Yeah we get cheated out of a lot of rides. The thing is here in the states DLR has it's exclusives, and so does WDW. But in Paris, it's basically a combo of the best of DLR and WDW with even MORE exclusives. One thing that's really nice there is the counter service. It's basically the same prices, just converted into euros, and instead of getting something like a hamburger you get some fancy panini woohoo!

Scores if you ever wanna go to DLP, don't let the language hold you back. If you're only going to the Disneyland Park then you're covered because everyone who works there speaks fluently in a lot of languages, including English. If you plan on going outside the park and seeing the rest of France...well, then you're probably gonna need a translator!
