Dude that's awesome! Would you mind posting what it looked like originally? I'd love to see a before/after!

Also, for image to image blending, try clicking gradients, then clicking the little four-colored squares to the right of the gradient effects, and clicking "transparency mode". Just make sure whatever you want to blend together are in 2 different layers :) Hope that helps.
