Title: New KH games revealed!
Description: Tokyo Game Show
New-Kid - September 22, 2007 01:01 AM (GMT)
So all three new Kingdom Hearts game titles have been released at the same time. Very little info has been released on these games other than the logos and some info on the game. There was a trailer for the games but it was only released to a selected view (I think)
This one is on the Nintendo DS:

This game is all based on Roxas. From news I've heard, Axel, Xigbar, and Siax are playable. There has been news of all 13 members of Oganizaton XIII playable but no footage of them has been shown.
This one is a Mobile Phone game:

"We must return, to ease their pain." a disturbing article in Jiminy's journal sends Sora, Jiminy, and Mickey into a digital world. In the game Sora has been shown playing some sort of puzzle game.
And finally, for PSP:

Set in the distant past, there were many Keyblade Masters. One of whom, Terra is the character you play as. The game also features Aqua and Ven from the secret ending of KH2 and from the secret ending of KH2FM+ and "Master Xenahort" as the main villian.
I can't wait for these!!

I might have to buy a PSP, I am so excited for these(not so much the mobile phone one) but the other two sound awesome!
New-Kid - September 22, 2007 02:04 AM (GMT)
I Know Right?!?!? I wanna play as Axel!
GrmGrninGhost - September 22, 2007 02:06 AM (GMT)
I hope there is a taunt button cause I want to say "Get The Picture?" and "Dance Water Dance!' over and over lol.

Hey everybody,
This is TGS07's review of the next three KH games.
First up is Kingdom Hearts Coded, a unique reinterpretation of the original Kingdom Hearts game. The trailer begins with an ominous message that leads Jiminy Cricket in a frantic race to Mickey Mouse, to send Sora through a digitally recreated version of the original Kingdom Hearts. In Coded, players will be able to enter a "Debug Mode" which allows players to alter the world around them. In one sequence, we saw Sora gain the ability to run through objects, such as blocks. What he ran through would then explode, reinforcing the notion that Sora can have dominion of his world: it's like playing a Kingdom Hearts fanfic written by a hardcore aficionado of The Matrix. Of course, as cool as this may sound, chances are you'll never play it. It's frustratingly yet another one of the countless cell phone games that Square Enix has in development.
The other games showcased will certainly be more relevant to the Joystiq reader. "The time of the other side ... " the trailer begins. This will be Roxas' adventure, following the trials of Organization XIII. The battle system resembles the one featured in the past two console games, but there's a few new twists. Members of Organization XIII are aerially gifted, being able to float away at a whim. They also work together: we saw a four player co-operative mode on display which looks quite fun. Amazingly, the game manages to maintain visuals that are strikingly similar to the PS2 originals, albeit a bit more pixelated. Oh, and did we mention that this is on the Nintendo DS? Oh, and did we mention the title: Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. Certainly not the catchiest of titles. But, that wasn't the end of Kingdom Hearts games revealed today
Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, revealed at Tokyo Game Show today, is a brand new PSP game that expands the story of the franchise not by looking forward, but by looking back. This prequel stars a character that strongly resembles (but is not) Zack from Final Fantasy VII (and most recently, Crisis Core). In addition, we see a character that appears to be a clone of Roxas -- but that's impossible, considering the massive time difference between Birth by Sleep and the original console games. Certainly, there's a lot of mysteries surrounding this upcoming title.
As this preview video shows, the game features a much darker and sinister feel than the console predecessors. The character designs feature a rougher look, especially the main villains, featured above. The new hero, being of a much older age than the previous heroes, also adds a much more mature feel to the overall presentation. The new keyblade also feels much more menacing, being able to shoot projectiles rather quickly. From the little we got to see at Tokyo Game Show, it seems as though the gameplay of Birth by Sleep will most closely follow the PS2 originals of the new Kingdom Hearts games announced today.
This is easily the most technologically impressive Kingdom Hearts game announced today, and although it's not a next-gen sequel, this PSP iteration looks to satiate the needs of the Kingdom Hearts gamers everywhere.

YAY!! i'm going to get the psp game!
Jovey - September 24, 2007 09:34 PM (GMT)
Well I don't see any official info on the DS and PSP games as of yet, but I have seen IGN's comment on "Coded" the mobile one. I can't believe it! Whatever happened to kingdom hearts 3? Can't they just call it Kingdom Hearts 3? Can't they just release it on Playstation 2? lol I'm just saying, another chain of memories is something I won't be looking forward to, but if these games turn out really good (and don't involve cards) then I've got some research to do.
At any rate, it does look official;
Kingdom hearts has 3 new games (only 1 officially verified from the looks of things) coming out in the next four years or so.
I'm assumming these will have story lines that will all lead up to KH3 lol.

Kh Coded pretty much IS Kh3. Nomura never stated that the game would ever be called KH3. In fact, he denied it.
This is SE's official report on the next games:

The untold story of another hero.
Organization XIII, Number 13, Roxas
In KINGDOM HEARTS 358/2 Days, you will explore a variety of Disney worlds in not only single-player mode, but also in multiplayer missions made possible by the unique networking features of the Nintendo DS.
-Twilight Town-
Roxas and Axel were watching the sunset from their usual spot on the station's clock tower after a long day of collecting "hearts" from the Heartless, as ordered by their organization. When their daily work ended, they often spent their evenings there. They talked about the day's work and other things over ice cream.
"Do you know why the sun looks red as it sinks below the horizon? It's because among the countless colors comprising light, red travels the greatest distance."
"You're just trying to show off, Axel!"
It was idle chatter between two boys without hearts.
This is the untold story of Organization XIII's Roxas.

It was an awakening that would signal the beginning of the KINGDOM HEARTS saga.
KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep is the tale of a new trio of heroes, told across three scenarios utilizing the groundbreaking technology of the PSP. Exciting new features will be introduced on top of the traditional controls, game system, and visual style of its predecessors.
The Keyblade is said to hold phenomenal power. One legend says its wielder saved the world, while another says that he wrought chaos and ruin upon it. —from Ansem's Report (KINGDOM HEARTS)
Long before Sora took up the Keyblade, there were other Keyblade masters. One of these masters, Xehanort, disappeared one day along with his apprentice. This event proved to be a foreshadowing of great disaster to come. Aware of the threat, another master ordered his three apprentices to seek out Xehanort and his cohort.

A Disney universe as vast as the mobile network awaits you.
In KINGDOM HEARTS coded, you will journey through a variety of Disney worlds on an exciting adventure brought to life by advanced mobile phone technology and gorgeous graphics never before seen on the platform. This marks the first collaboration between Square Enix and the Walt Disney Internet Group.
After the events of KINGDOM HEARTS, Jiminy Cricket returned to Disney Castle to organize his journal. While he arranged his records, his eyes fell upon a page with a mysterious message.
We must return to free them from their torment.
However, no matter how hard Jiminy tried to recall the source of the text, he couldn't remember. So the King digitized the contents of the journal and started an investigation. Within the world traced from the contents of Jiminy's Journal, a boy awoke on Destiny Island. It was the beginning of a new quest for a virtual Sora.

Hmm... I wouldn't say Coded is really KH3, but it is the closest to that part of the storyline, seeing as COM wasn't KH2, but merely the in-between. Still can't wait for the three handheld games though, but I'm mostly looking forward to 358/2 Days and Birth by Sleep.
New-Kid - September 26, 2007 01:30 AM (GMT)
Yeah, but Coded is pretty much the contunuation of Sora's story. I doubt that their'll ever be KHIII.
New-Kid - September 26, 2007 09:02 PM (GMT)
Hey everyone,
I've got even more pics of the next games!

----Battle System----

Actually Kingdom Hearts: Coded has nothing to do with the current Sora. See after Jiminy finds all those disturbing passages in his journals from the past adventures, he and Mickey digitize the journals, and Mickey goes into the digital version of the journal (kinda like how Ansem the Wise had a virtual twilight town) and you basically play as virtual Sora in a virtual first game (sounds a lot like COM right?). Then there are all these investigations Mickey does, and that's why he'll interrupt like that part where he catches up to Sora in Traverse Town.
New-Kid - September 27, 2007 02:17 AM (GMT)
Yes... I never really cared about Kh: Coded since I was too distracted by Axel.

lol what I'm interested in is how Birth By Sleep is supposed to be a long long time ago, when Mickey arrives after the battle... But Mickey looks really weird... maybe a younger mickey?
GrmGrninGhost - September 27, 2007 07:50 PM (GMT)
Looking at the game shots for Birth by Sleep, I am definately getting a PSP, the graphics are beautiful.
358/2 Days,.....I cannot wait to get this game. Playing as OrginizationXII!!! And from the looks of it with other people multiplayer! Sweet!
As for Coded, looks neat but Im still confused with the concept, sounds like CoM but with viruses instead of cards lol. Oh well, I cant wait till they come out!
New-Kid - September 28, 2007 01:50 AM (GMT)
Nomura has announced that the battle system for 358/2 Days has been modified to match that of Re:com. It'll be a card-based system where all attacks are triggered by a card. Which could kinda help since Organization members have a wide range of insane attacks.
New-Kid - September 30, 2007 01:23 AM (GMT)
This is the Dark Soldier, an apprentice of the villian of Birth By Sleep.

This story takes place 5-7 years before KH1. Those kids on the beach are Sora and Riku.

Mickey!!

And (wait for it...)
The 14th Oganization Member!?
Jovey - October 1, 2007 04:08 AM (GMT)

New-Kid - October 1, 2007 08:23 PM (GMT)

SKKaty - October 2, 2007 08:30 PM (GMT)
New do you know the answer to my question???
New-Kid - October 2, 2007 10:01 PM (GMT)
Sorry, didn't even see it.
PSP
Nintendo DS
Cellphone.
Jovey - October 4, 2007 09:27 PM (GMT)
Well they might be making a Playstation 2/3 version in the far off future, but similar to KH: COM, they're probably just releasing these games in between the next Playstation 2/3 game, which, if I'm correct, will continue off with Sora, Riku, and Kairi as seen at the end of KH2.
